Good Deeds Day celebration at City of Knowledge

As part of the Good Deeds Day, FAS PANAMA –NGO that operates the Collection and Waste Management Center (CAM) of the City of Knowledge– for the second consecutive year, opened its doors for an extraordinary day.

The celebration counted with the participation of 62 volunteers from different sectors: BAC Credomatic, Interamerican University, Maritime University of Panama, students and parents of the Colegio Real de Panamá, employees, and volunteers of FAS PANAMA.

Objectives were met during the celebration where countless of people brought their recycled materials, were able to paint safety lines, and much more.

The day in figures:

62 volunteers.

257 volunteer hours.

1,826 pounds (half a ton) of classified materials to be recycled.

About Good Deeds Day

Israeli philanthropist Shari Arison devised a day dedicated to doing good deeds for others, in order to promote kindness and solidarity. This year, Panama joined once again in the celebrations of the "Good Deeds Day", which were held in more than 50 countries. The global initiative, open to all, both personally and collectively, requires doing a good deed and sharing the message.
