In recent days the first Cyclotron of Central America, equipment used for high quality early diagnosis of cancer, which belongs to the company Radiofarmacia de Centroamérica S.A. -affiliated to International Technopark of Panama- arrived at the City of Knowledge.
Radiofarmacia de Centroamérica, S.A., an affiliate of the City of Knowledge International Technopark, signed collaboration agreements with The Cyclotron and Radioisotope Center, Tohoku University Hospital - Japan and The Department of Medical Physics and Bioengineering, University College London - UK.
Radiofarmacia de Centroamérica, S.A., based in the International Technopark of the City of Knowledge, marked its presence at the X Conference of the Venezuelan Society of Oncology (SVRTO), XII Conference of the Department of Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine, and the IV Conference on Medical Physics, in Caracas, Venezuela.
On April 12, at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Panama, Radiofarmacia de Centroamérica S.A., an affiliate of the City of Knowledge, held a conference on the theme: Development and Production of Radiopharmaceuticals in Panama: An Important Project.
Radiofarmacia de Centroamérica S.A. signed an agreement with the City of Knowledge Foundation to develop a radio-pharmacy at the International Technopark of Panama in order to install the first laboratory production of radiopharmaceuticals for early detection of cancer.
