The PJF 2019 officially begins

The City of Knowledge Convention Center was the first stage of the sixteenth edition of the Panama Jazz Festival 2019, organized by the Danilo Pérez Foundation and Panama Jazz Productions.

During the event, we had the presence of the artistic director of the festival, Danilo Pérez, corporate sponsors, public institutions and the Panamanian artist honored Alex Blake y Familia.

Jorge Arosemena, Executive President of the City of Knowledge Foundation, participated in the press conference by emphasizing that "from day one, Danilo joined music with education. We are very happy that the effort for education brings us together and we hope that this sixteenth edition will be full of good vibes and energy because that brings us all closer together".

Danilo Pérez spoke about the importance of music and how it transmits values that are essential for human beings. "Music helps us reduce corruption, if I give you a music sheet you cannot copy it", said the Pérez, who also asked himself where we want to see ourselves in 20 years and the role music plays to answer this question.

Pérez took advantage of the moment to announce a new project called "La Manzana", which will be the headquarters of the Danilo Pérez Foundation that will promote the arts and culture in the country. In addition, he took the opportunity to highlight the quantity and quality of the billboard of artists that will perform at the festival.

The PJF is organized thanks to the support of the National Tourism Authority of Panama, the National Institute of Culture, the Mayor of Panama, City of Knowledge Foundation, BAC Panama, Copa Airlines, Alamo Rent A Car, Cable & Wireless, among many others.
