The corotúes community project advances

The City of Knowledge Foundation informs the community that in recent days we have completed the cutting of the branches phase of the two sick trees at the City of Knowledge park.

At the end of 2018, after the detachment of a large branch, a phytosanitary evaluation was made that found the trunks in very poor condition and recommended cutting the branches of the two corotúes, for the safety of all. During the process, a group of people from our community participated in the informative meetings that were convened and contributed their ideas and recommendations.

As we talked in the last informative meeting (held on December 15, 2018), after cutting the branches, the trunks of both trees and the larger branches, arranged on the ground, were left in the place. The idea is to develop a community project there that allows us to preserve the memory of the corotúes, generate improvements to the park and strengthen our community.

We invite everyone to participate in the third informative meeting about the project, on Saturday, February 16, at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Knowledge Convention Center, where we will continue to present, receive and discuss ideas and alternatives.

Important: The perimeter of the area is cordoned off and marked with “No pase” signs. The City of Knowledge Foundation is adopting some final measures to guarantee the safety of the people. Soon the area will be opened again for the enjoyment of the public.
