Jorge Arosemena, Executive President of the City of Knowledge Foundation, and Gregorio A. Urriola C., Director of the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER) in Panama, signed a letter of understanding to form the Foundation for Innovation and Development (FIDBAN) Panama Chapter.

The Foundation for Innovation and Development - FIDBAN is a non-profit foundation based in Santander, Spain whose main objective is to shape, promote and boost an International Network of Investors (local and foreign), and link them with profitable entrepreneurial projects that need financing with possible capital investors. The FIDBAN is formed by the Ibero-American University Foundation - FUNIBER, the Society for the Development of Cantabria - SODERCAN, the European University of the Atlantic, and the Research and Industrial Technology Center of Cantabria - CITICAN.

Through the signing of the agreement, the bases of collaboration between the institutions that make up the FIDBAN Panama Chapter are established. This strategic alliance will promote the development of FIDBAN in Panama, and will boost the relationship and business opportunities among Panamanian investors and entrepreneurs in an international context.

"With this agreement FUNIBER goes a step further to contribute to the formation of the FIDBAN Panama Chapter and give more visibility to the initiatives we will do together with the FCdS and thus be able to obtain sponsorship for important initiatives in benefit of the country's innovation culture", mentioned Gregorio A. Urriola C.

For his part, Jorge Arosemena mentioned that "the objective to achieve sustainable development is to work in alliances and this is a perfect example of this. What is clear is that we must form different groups that work on common projects for the benefit of all."
