The City of Knowledge Foundation and IESA invite you to the fifth conference of its 2018 cycle with the theme "Is sustainability a good business? ESG companies, the new paradigm of institutional investment", which will take place on Thursday, September 20, at the City of Knowledge Convention Center.
To the extent that the assets of institutional investors grow in relative proportion to other corporate actors in the world, they have the obligation to make investments that are consistent with the values of their clients, hence the corporations that want to capture resources from this type of investors must show that they are capable of generating portfolios of environmentally, socially and sustainable friendly products, managed by an organization that meets the highest standards of internal governance. Some emblematic cases will be reviewed, showing how ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) factors shape new corporate strategies, particularly those related to attracting new shareholders.
Speaker: Carlos Jaramillo, materials engineer, MBA and PhD in Business Administration at The University of Connecticut (1994). He has more than 20 years of experience in IESA as a professor of postgraduate courses in corporate finance topics. He currently serves as Academic Director of IESA.
